About Shekinah Mennonite Church

A Brief Introduction

Our congregation was established in 2017 as an extension from Cedarvale Conservative Mennonite Church. We currently have approximately 20 families normally attending.

Shekinah is a congregation of the Mennonite/Anabaptist faith and practice. We strive to use this heritage as an effective and acceptable manner in which to live out the principles of God’s word.

You might have a few questions about attending….

“Am I welcome?” Absolutely.

“I’ve noticed you dress conservatively. Do I need to dress like you to visit your services?” We do appreciate when our guests dress modestly for worship. Beyond that, you are very welcome to come as you are.

“What are your services like?” Services begin with congregational singing, a devotional, a time of Bible Study and Sunday School, including classes for any children age 4 and over. After Sunday School, one of the leadership team brings the morning message. And please feel free to stay for a few moments afterward; we love to fellowship and will be happy to get acquainted with you as well.
